Colts' playoff hopes dwindling as Andrew Luck is ruled out for Week 16

null null The Colts were hoping to have quarterback Andrew Luck back for Week 16, but the club will have to wait at least another week. Coach Chuck Pagano told reporters Monday that Luck will miss next Sunday's game at Miami."I have zilch," said Pagano when asked about an update on Luck. They need some help, with the Texans (7-7) having to lose both of their remaining games due to AFC tiebreaker scenarios. It's a slim hope for the Colts to make the playoffs, but Pagano isn't worried.  “Stranger things have happened," he told reporters. "Call me naive, but there's still a chance."With Luck out, the Colts will once again turn to 40-year-old Matt Hasselbeck, who Pagano said is "beat-up from the feet up" after injuring his back in Sunday's loss to the Texans.The Colts have signed Alex Tanney, an undrafted second-year player from Monmouth, off the practice squad and onto the active roster to back up Charlie Whitehurst should Whitehurst get the start over Hasselbeck.
